The biggest ice statue festival in Europe is in IJsselhallen in Zwolle. It’s one of the largest winter events in the Netherlands, with over 100.000 guests. The affair will take you to the magnificent world of crystal clear ice and shining snow. The topic of the Dutch Ice Sculptures Festival this year is: “World famous stories”. The world’s top 40 ice artist make 275,000 kg of ice and 275,000 kg of snow a delightful world. 1.200 m² activity! In a large cooled area (-10°C) you will see a exclusive winter experience. Be amazed by captivating themed worlds and over a 100 ice sculptures. “Special effects” with light, sound and ridge make the images even more magical. Romeo and Juliet, the Three Musketeers, Robin Hood, A Christmas Carol, Harry Potter, Animal Farm, Allice in Wonderland, Winnie the Pooh, Tarzan and many more stories are brought to life. It’s a family-friendly celebration with special activities for the little ones such as a slide engraved from ice.
